Glass Onion Movie Review
Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig followed their funny Knives Out with Glass Onion. A whodunit set on a Greek island that re-invents the genre and its themes. This time, the strange detective is hired to solve a murder mystery on the island of a tech billionaire in the style of an Agatha Christie story in Glass Onion Movie.
Knives Out were about wealthy people who were out of touch with reality. Glass Onion takes a sharp left turn and is about fake celebrities in the digital age and their utopian dreams. The result is more confusing social commentary, but the big laughs are always there.
Miles Bron (Edward Norton)
Miles Bron, a tech billionaire played by Edward Norton, invites a group of his friends to a murder mystery party on a remote island. One of the guests dies, and Detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, is hired to discover what happened.
Miles Bron, a tech billionaire, is often seen as the latest in a long line of bad guys that Hollywood loves to make fun of. He is a narcissist, an ambitious, unorthodox, and determined man who sells a lie of meritocracy by pretending to be a complex genius.
Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson)
Kate Hudson is known for her strange roles, like in Almost Famous, but her latest, in Glass Onion Movie, is a bit more out there. The actor plays Birdie Jay, a fashion designer who has no sense of style and doesn’t care about being polite or politically correct.
Before we even meet her, director Rian Johnson does an excellent job of defining her character by throwing us telling scenes. That shows how different they are from each other and their relationship.
Glass Onion Movie is a fun whodunit murder mystery with many big names playing brand-new roles. It is also a great way to show off some great costumes. We like how Hudson is dressed.
Duke Cody (Dave Bautista)
Glass Onion Movie by Rian Johnson, is a fun murder mystery with much commentary on society. It also has a cast full of stars and a character with a funny accent.
In the Glass Onion Movie, a group is invited to a private island to figure out what happened to a friend. This includes soccer mom turned Connecticut governor Claire Debella (Kathryn Hahn), cutting-edge scientist Lionel Toussaint, fashionista Birdie Jay, and her responsible assistant Peg, gun-toting men’s rights activist Duke Cody and his pretty influencer girlfriend, Whiskey.
Throughout the movie, it’s clear that each of these characters only cares about themselves and wants to get their way. And because of this, each of them could be a suspect in the case.
Claire Debella (Katheryn Hahn)
Miles Bron, a tech billionaire played by Edward Norton, invites his five best friends to a murder mystery party at his mansion, Glass Onion, on his private island. On the list are Claire Debella, the governor of Connecticut; Birdie Jay, a fashion designer; Lionel Toussaint, Bron’s top scientist; Duke Cody, a controversial men’s rights activist; and Andi Brand, the former CEO of Miles’ company.
Glass Onion is a classic whodunit movie with strange characters, a crazy plot, and the world-famous detective Benoit Blanc. Even so, the film is still fun and entertaining for people to watch. There are also a lot of cameos and references to famous people that are fun to watch.
Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr.)
Even though his reputation as an athlete isn’t excellent, Leslie Odom Jr. is a good actor who got a role in Rian Johnson’s Glass. Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, and Claire Debella are also in the movie with him.
In the movie, Edward Norton plays a billionaire who looks like Steve Jobs and calls his friends “The Disruptors.” He invites them to his private island for a murder mystery game. Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson), Duke Cody (Dave Bautista), a social media influencer and men’s rights activist, and Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr.), a scientist, all end up on a Greek island with Benoit Blanc, a famous detective from France (Daniel Craig).
Andi Brand (Janelle Monae)
Janelle Monae is known for her role in Hidden Figures but was just in Glass Onion as Andi Brand. Her acting got many people’s attention, which made people talk a lot about her two roles in the movie.
In the movie, Miles Bron takes advantage of Andi because she wouldn’t sign off on Klear, an experimental fuel he made from hydrogen that she didn’t like. She wrote her ideas on a napkin at the Glass Onion, their favorite bar.
Miles invited Andi to his island for a murder mystery party instead of letting her go. Helen then asked Detective Benoit Blanc to help her figure out who killed Andi.
